The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has adopted a law (No. 13627) introducing additional monthly payments for servicemen released from captivity who require long-term inpatient treatment. This is stated in a parliamentary message on Telegram.

Thus, the military will receive 50 thousand UAH per month throughout the entire period of continuous treatment.
These payments are suspended in the event of suspicion of crimes against national security or war crimes, and are canceled in the event of a conviction.
“In case of suspicion of crimes against national security or war crimes, payments are suspended, and upon conviction, they are canceled,” the parliament reported.

As “FACTS” wrote, another prisoner exchange recently took place. 185 Ukrainian defenders and 20 civilians from Russian captivity returned to Ukraine. Among the released: soldiers of the Armed Forces, National Guard, State Border Service. Civilians are also returning with the defenders. Most have been in captivity since 2022.
