Increased payment contributes to the growth of the popularity of the Europrotocol / Freepik
This year, the uppermost sum of payments for vehicle collisions, processed independently via the Europrotocol, has been augmented by 90,000 UAH relative to the prior year: from 160,000 UAH in 2024 to 250,000 UAH in 2025.
This is conveyed by Delo.ua, citing a communication from the Motor (Transport) Insurance Bureau of Ukraine.
It is pointed out that the payment escalation is among the elements that promote the expanding acceptance of the Europrotocol. During the initial nine months of 2025, 44.8% of car crashes in Ukraine were documented by motorists autonomously, without contacting the authorities, whereas in 2024 this number reached 37%.
Moreover, the application of the digital Europrotocol is gaining traction, empowering individuals to record a vehicular incident online using a smartphone. It suffices to capture an image of the incident scene, complete an online form, and validate the details via an SMS passcode. The file is instantly transmitted to the insurance provider and MTIBU, eliminating the need for paperwork.
MTIBU underscores that the Europrotocol is applicable solely in situations involving two automobiles without injuries.
It’s worth adding that in August, MTIBU executed 1,468 scheduled payouts from the Injured Parties Fund, totaling 78.04 million UAH. This represents an increase of 29.8% in quantity and 18.71% in worth compared to August 2024.
