Trump says he 'did very well' at annual physical

President Donald Trump declared, “I did great” after undergoing his annual physical examination on Friday.

He praised the state of his heart, soul and cognitive function, noting that the results of White House doctors' medical tests would likely not be ready until the end of the weekend.

The 78-year-old, who in January became the oldest US president to be sworn in, spent nearly five hours at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center undergoing what he called “every test imaginable.”

“I spent a lot of time there,” he said. “I think I did very well.”

Speaking to reporters during the flight, he said doctors had given him “a little” advice on lifestyle changes that could improve his health, although he did not elaborate on what exactly they were.

“Overall, I felt very good. I have a good heart, a good soul, a very good soul,” Mr. Trump said, adding that he had taken a cognitive test.

“I don't know what else to say except that I answered all the questions correctly.”

He noted that passing the mental acuity test is “what the American people want” and again criticized his predecessor, saying, “Biden refused to take it.”

The final medical report will be the first public information about Mr Trump's health since the incident in Butler, Pennsylvania, in July.

Instead of releasing his medical records at the time, Texas Representative Ronny Jackson, a staunch Trump supporter who served as his White House physician and once joked in the White House briefing room that Mr. Trump could live to be 200 if
