Trump Intends to Fix 'Egregious Flaws' in Iran Nuclear Deal

Washington (Sputnik) – the President of the United States Donald trump is determined to fix “the most egregious flaws” of the nuclear deal with Iran, also known as the joint comprehensive plan of action, Mike Pompeo, the CIA Director appointed by the Secretary of state said.

“President trump is willing to work with our partners on the revision of the joint comprehensive plan of action to correct the most egregious shortcomings. If confirmed, it will be an immediate personal priority to work with these partners to see if such a correction is achievable. The stakes are high for everyone, but especially Tehran,” Pompeo speech in the U.S. Congress released by the White house to read.

Donald trump is threatening to unilaterally withdraw from the deal for quite some time, repeatedly stating that he wants “significant changes” to it.

Recently Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani said that the country’s response to possible US withdrawal from the deal will be stronger than expected.

Joint comprehensive plan of action, or just the Iranian nuclear deal, the agreement ensures that the peaceful nature of Iran’s nuclear program, which was signed on 14 July 2015, after several years of diplomatic efforts between Iran and the P5+1 group.

The head of the CIA also told on the subject of negotiations with North Korea, saying the United States would not “play” in the negotiations with North Korea and a firm determination to achieve the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.
