Terrorists from Russia hope that their shelling will force Ukrainians to freeze in the winter and surrender in the war.
In response, Ukrainian society is mobilizing and uniting, preparing for confrontation. Thus, since the beginning of October, a Cabinet of Ministers resolution has come into force in Ukraine, which provides for additional cash payments for citizens with benefits and subsidies.
VIDEO OF THE DAY
This concerns compensation for electricity costs and alternative power sources, which can be received by citizens living in:
- zones of active combat operations,
- areas at risk of their recovery,
- temporarily occupied settlements.
If the status of the territory changes, for example, hostilities cease, payments stop from the following month.

How will the assistance be calculated?
The amount of payments will be determined based on the cost of 100 kWh of electricity per family member, but not more than 300 kWh per family. The state will compensate for both the costs of electricity supply and distribution, as well as the costs of alternative energy sources – generators or solar panels.
How payments will be assigned
There is no need to contact the institutions separately – the Pension Fund will automatically calculate the amount, along with the already assigned subsidies and benefits for paying for housing and communal services.

Let us remind you that Ukrainians spend one of the largest parts of their family budget on utility bills, especially in the autumn-winter period. In order to ease this financial burden, the state has provided a system of benefits: for example, a 50% discount on utility bills.
