Moscow (Sputnik) – the Syrian government and Jaysh al-Islam militants have agreed to release all prisoners in return for ensuring safe passage for militants in the town of Jarabulus, Syria state media reported on Sunday.
Syrian state television reported, citing an unnamed source that the militants of Jaysh al-Islam will leave Duma in the Northern city of Jarablus in the next 48 hours. A source in the security sources also reported that two groups of Jaysh al-Islam will leave the Duma in the next few hours.
“The agreement to release all prisoners into two groups was also achieved. The first group will go in the next few hours,” said the source.
The source added that the convoy of buses have gone to the Duma to take the militants in the town of Jarabulus in Northern Syria.
According to news Agency sana, the agreement was reached after hours of negotiations.
Earlier in the day, Sana reported that the militants asked the government of Syria to hold talks on the background of deterioration in the city of Duma in Eastern ghouta in Syria.
Last week, the Russian military reached a tentative agreement with Jaysh al-Islam radical movement at the cessation of hostilities, disarmament and the withdrawal of the Duma. Fighters have to show a minefield and maps of the tunnel and volunteer to clean buildings and transport routes minutes before removing.
