Police seize Andrew Tate's £180,000 Aston Martin supercar bail

Police have seized £180,000 (€208,539) from social media personality Andrew Tate, which he used as a deposit on an Aston Martin.

Devon and Cornwall Police said Tate paid for a special edition of Valhalla in July 2021.

This £850,000 (€984,768) version of the supercar featured in the James Bond film No Time to Die.

According to police, the funds used for bail were obtained through tax evasion and money laundering.

The amount could be added to the £2.7 million (€3.13 million) in criminal assets seized in December 2024 from Tate and his brother Tristan.

This week, police received freezing and confiscation orders from Westminster Magistrates' Court.

The Tate brothers did not object to the decision taken.

Half of the funds will be used for charitable purposes, and the other half will go to the state budget.

Police officials noted that the money initially transferred to the Aston Martin account was received from a cryptocurrency account.

No taxes or VAT were paid on these funds.

Detective Superintendent John Bancroft said: “This latest judgment follows our referrals against the Tate brothers which led to a successful conviction in December 2024 and the confiscation of almost £2.7 million in criminal assets.

“From the outset, we sought to demonstrate that Andrew and Tristan Tate were tax evaders and money launderers.

“The people of Devon and Cornwall will benefit from the confiscated funds, which will be reinvested into crime prevention, helping victims and vulnerable people, and supporting charities.”
