The recent blast comes after late last month the Ash-Shabab detonated the loaded with explosives car close to the Hilac UK hotel in Mogadishu; this resulted in the death of 29 people, in addition to at least 80 injured.
A vehicle loaded with explosives was detonated at a check point close to the national theatre building located not far from the presidential residence, the local Radio Dalsan reported.
The media outlet speculated that the attack was carried out by the Ash-Shabab militant group.
