The Holy See said on Thursday that “a group of poor and needy people” would be on the steps leading to the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore to pay their final respects to Francis before his burial.
The funeral will be held behind closed doors. However, the Vatican said people will be able to visit Pope Francis's grave from Sunday morning.
