Hunter, the son of former President Joe Biden, criticized actor and Democratic philanthropist George Clooney for his call for the elder Biden to drop out of a 2024 reelection bid.
In a rare online interview, Hunter Biden used a series of expletives while discussing Clooney with Andrew Gallagher on YouTube.
Clooney previously supported Democrat Joe Biden in his bid for a second term, even leading a record fundraising effort for the then-president.
However, the actor reconsidered his position after Mr Biden's poor performance in a debate against Republican Donald Trump in June 2024 and joined growing calls for the 81-year-old president to drop out of the race.
Clooney shared his thoughts in an op-ed in The New York Times. Weeks later, Biden dropped out of the race and endorsed his vice president, Kamala Harris, who was later defeated by Trump.
In a lengthy and insightful interview, Hunter Biden questioned why anyone should listen to Clooney, arguing that the Ocean's Eleven actor has no right to “undermine” his father.
“What basis do you have to criticize a man who has given 52 years of his life to serve this country and decide that you, George Clooney, are going to take out, essentially, a full-page ad in the New York Times to undermine the president?” Hunter Biden said, before trailing off and mentioning that Republicans are more united than Democrats.
Joe Biden spent 36 years in the US Senate and eight years as vice president under Barack Obama before being elected president in 2020.
Clooney's Los Angeles-based representatives did not immediately respond to an emailed request for comment Tuesday.
