In September of 2025, Ukrainians submitted applications for the initial registration of 22.7 thousand pre-owned automobiles, sourced from international locations. This represents a decrease of 1.9% compared to August, yet an increase of 40.2% compared to September of 2024.

From the year’s commencement, import quantities have been progressively ascending: from 14.5 thousand vehicles in January up to 22.5 thousand in May. A slight deceleration occurred in June, following which the market stabilized at approximately 22 thousand vehicles per month.
Dominant brands: Volkswagen, Audi, and Tesla
Volkswagen holds its leading position by a considerable degree – the brand sustains its prominence through a diverse assortment of models, the accessibility of replacement components, and advantageous costs at European auctions.
Audi secures the second spot, with Tesla in third, maintaining substantial demand despite anticipated modifications in the taxation of electric vehicles.
The ranking of the ten most in-demand brands also encompasses: Nissan, Renault, BMW, Ford, Hyundai, Skoda, and KIA.
In the model segment, intense rivalry emerged between the Volkswagen Golf and the Tesla Model Y. The Golf emerged victorious, slightly ahead, bolstered by the electric variant, the e-Golf.
Other favored choices included the Tesla Model 3, Volkswagen Tiguan, Nissan Leaf, which surpassed the Skoda Octavia this time, along with the Audi Q5, KIA Niro, Volkswagen Passat, and Nissan Rogue.
The average age of imported pre-owned cars in September diminished from 8.5 to 8.4 years. Within the premium sector, the Ukrainian vehicle collection was augmented by: 1 Lamborghini, 2 Rolls-Royce, 2 Bentley, 2 Ferrari, and 6 Maserati.
It should be noted that the Ukrainian market for new passenger cars reached a peak in September, the highest in the last 12 months. Exceeding 6.8 thousand new automobiles were acquired during the month.
