Manchester United academy boss Nick Cox is set to take up the technical director role at Everton, according to PA news agency.
The Toffees are in the process of being restructured under the Friedkin Group and are looking for a Red Devils academy director for the new structure.
Cox has reportedly turned down a host of other offers since his move to Old Trafford from Sheffield United in 2016, receiving interest from Premier League, EFL and European clubs and governing bodies.
A succession plan is being drawn up at United and PA reports he will remain in his position for the coming months to ensure a smooth transition ahead of his quiet exit to Everton.
Cox was appointed head of academy in 2019 and has helped transform United's renowned youth system, leading the club to FA Youth Cup glory in 2022, with Alejandro Garnacho and Kobby Mainu emerging as key players.
He is a highly regarded specialist in youth development, with 27 academy players making their debuts for United's first team during his time as head of the youth system.
United have sold home-grown talent worth around £100m in the last three years and the terms of the sale suggest that figure is likely to rise.
