Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has revealed that Kevin De Bruyne has purchased a villa in Italy ahead of a possible move to the Serie A champions.
De Bruyne's contract is coming to an end and he will leave Manchester City this summer after a decade at the club, during which he won six Premier League titles and the Champions League.
The 33-year-old Belgian playmaker has also been linked with a move to the US, but De Laurentiis appears confident that Napoli can land him.
De Laurentiis was asked about the possibility as the club held an open-top parade to celebrate its second title in three years.
He told RAI: “Will he lift this trophy too? Probably yes. I know he has already sorted out some things and I think he has bought a beautiful villa.
“I had a video call with him, his wife and their nine-year-old son this morning and it was a wonderful sight.”
However, when asked if this could be considered an official confirmation of the transfer, De Laurentiis added: “Not yet. Until it is written in black and white, there will be no confirmation.”
De Bruyne made his 421st and likely final appearance for City when he came on as a substitute in the final Premier League game of the season against Fulham on Sunday.
De Bruyne could still have the opportunity to represent City at this summer's Club World Cup, but he is not expected to play in the tournament in the United States.
