Captain Harry Kane has insisted England will “not panic” after their shock 3-1 friendly defeat to Senegal.
Just three days after a disappointing 1-0 win over Andorra in a World Cup qualifier, Thomas Tuchel's side were booed again by fans.
Goals from Ismaila Sarr, Habib Diarra and Cheikh Sabaly handed England their first defeat against an African side since Kane's early strike at the City Ground in Nottingham.
“Not good enough again,” Kane told ITV Sport.
“We had our moments again, but we just weren’t quite in sync with and without the ball, we didn’t find the right passes, we didn’t establish the right rhythm.
“We were losing in the one-on-ones, we were losing the aggressiveness we had, and we were punished for that, we were playing against a strong team. We just weren't good enough today.
“We're not going to panic. But we do know that we need to do better.”
England thought they had equalised through Jude Bellingham but his goal was disallowed for a handball by Levi Colville.
“If you know the rules, it's not handball,” Kane said.
“It certainly could have brought us back into the game at 2-2 and maybe we could have won, so it's a really important moment.
“But that's something we'll discuss with them (the match referees) later.”
