Why does a company need a website?

Typical tasks that are solved with the help of the site:

a) Support and promotion of the company's image on the Internet ( image component )
b) Providing the most detailed information about the company's services ( information component )
c) Advertising the company on the Internet ( advertising component )
d) Attracting new clients and partners, selling services and goods from the company's website ( commercial component )

Let's look at each of these points in more detail:

a) Image component. The 21st century is the century of information technology. A huge number of people in Russia and abroad use the Internet for business. On the business card of a self-respecting company, in addition to the address and phone number, there is always a website address where you can find out about the company's services and e-mail. A website on the Internet for a normal company is akin to an office, and a company without an office is simply not respectable, not to mention the fact that it is unlikely that you can say anything positive about such a company. Having a website for a company is support for the company's image. This means that the company keeps up with the times and uses all the achievements of technical progress. A company without a website always has less weight in the eyes of a potential client and this trend is steadily growing.

b) Information component. New clients have to be told the same information about the services and the intricacies of the company's work. Now you can often hear: “You can get more detailed information about our company, the goods and services we offer on our website www.firm_name.ru. The address of our website is indicated on the business card.” Information from many companies changes periodically, a growing number of clients need to be informed about new changes and often this becomes a burden if you do not use the website. It is convenient to display all the latest changes in the company, company news, changes in prices, services, conditions, etc. on the website, then each current client can easily view all the new information on the website. Working with the client base is simplified and becomes cheaper.

c) Advertising component. More and more companies are investing money in online advertising and this is not surprising, because it is the cheapest advertising, which allows you to reach a huge audience and get the maximum return. I will say that online advertising is not profitable for all companies, you need to understand this and consult with an online advertising agency in advance. The Internet allows you to convey information (advertisement) about the company's goods and services to a large number of people, and this is a huge plus.

d) Commercial component. The company's goods and services can be sold from the website. A huge number of potential buyers (Russia and the whole world) make the Internet an attractive trading platform. It is not easy to set up your own business on the Internet, but it is very profitable. Famous Russian online stores PORTA.RU, OZON.RU, BOOKS.RU have been successfully selling goods to buyers all over Russia for many years. For clarity, I will note that PORTA.RU has about 20,000 visitors per day! It is unlikely that a physical office can handle such a number of buyers. The second undoubted advantage is the automation of trade via the Internet. All operations for issuing documents, invoices, recording information in the database occur automatically and do not require a large number of personnel.

So, we figured out why organizations, companies, and businessmen need a website.
