Throughout the first three quarters of 2025, Ukrainian individuals exhibited heightened activity in declaring revenues sourced from abroad, alongside assets obtained through inheritance or as donations. This information was shared by Lesya Karnaukh, the Acting Head of the State Tax Service.
“The total of declared earnings from foreign sources reached UAH 36 billion, while earnings from inheritances and gifts totaled UAH 15.9 billion,” she communicated on her Facebook profile.
Among the various income streams that Ukrainians specified in their filings, the following are noteworthy:
- disposal of movable and immovable assets – UAH 7.5 billion;
- investment gains – UAH 6.1 billion;
- other taxable earnings – UAH 4.8 billion;
- real estate leasing – UAH 3.7 billion.
Over the course of this timeframe, more than 226 thousand statements concerning assets and earnings were submitted. The largest sum in personal income tax and military duty – surpassing 2 billion UAH – was accrued by a taxpayer residing in Kyiv.
Lesya Karnaukh underscored that the upswing in declaration numbers signifies the advancement of a culture rooted in transparent reporting. “This isn’t merely a standardized obligatory process, but a demonstration of accountability and confidence,” the official emphasized.
It was earlier communicated that 2,800 individuals became millionaires within Ukraine during the year marked by conflict.
