A People’s Representative and a participant in the Provisional Special Commission of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine regarding the probing into conceivable breaches of Ukrainian legislation during the execution of state defense initiatives, Yulia Yatsyk, verified that the TSC had gotten a declaration from Yuriy Kasyanov, requesting the validation and military exigency for dissolving the frontier service division “Dozor-Kyiv 8,” which was involved in distant unmanned aerial vehicle operations.

“Typically, the TSC doesn’t share details concerning submissions and claimants about occurrences we’re examining, but this situation is different—Mr. Yuriy directly informed the TSC of his appeal, and the press seized on it,” Yatsyk conveyed on Facebook.

She incorporated that given it’s an investigation, it’s not a swift matter. Per her statement, the TSK has already addressed the director of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, Serhiy Deineko, seeking the provision of comprehensive data on this topic.

Upon receipt of the requisite materials (records, justifications, official reviews, etc.), the Verkhovna Rada will set a schedule for a TSC meeting, where every individual connected to the matter’s deliberation will be invited.

“Based on the classification level of the information under examination, the TSC members will determine the assembly’s format—classified (private) or accessible (public),” Yatsyk pointed out, guaranteeing a sincere, unbiased, and unprejudiced examination of all details and conditions, and adding, “I preclude any coercion or public clamor; they will assuredly not sway the investigation’s path.”

The deputy specified that contingent upon the probe’s outcomes, the TSC will frame and cast votes on pertinent resolutions, which will consequently feature in the TSC work report to be voted on in the Council.

“A promising commencement. Gratitude to the Verkhovna Rada. Let me remind us that we operate a parliamentary-presidential republic,” Kasyanov responded.

By way of reminder, on October 3, Yuriy Kasyanov revealed the disbandment of the strike unmanned systems company of the 10th mobile detachment of the State Border Service of Ukraine, which he had conceived. According to him, the director of the State Border Service of Ukraine, Serhiy Deineko, under the directive of the Head of the Office of the President, Andriy Yermak, executed the unit’s dissolution. The soldier views this determination as reprisal for critiquing the Ukrainian authorities’ inconsistency in war and corruption matters. Specifically, Yuriy Kasyanov composed a suite of articles for ZN.UA, dissecting the efficacy of state choices throughout wartime concerning the advancement of Ukrainian drones.

The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine declared that they dismantled the unit because of “ineffective performance,” while acknowledging that its staffing had amplified 2.5 times throughout its tenure within the UPSU.
