Russia's attack on Ukraine on the night of September 7 marks a dangerous new phase in Russia's terrorist campaign. It comes at a time when U.S. President Donald Trump and European leaders are working to achieve peace, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budris said.
“Instead of negotiations, the Kremlin is doubling down on violence. It is rejecting diplomacy. It is choosing terror,” he stressed.
According to the diplomat, Moscow's actions cannot be left unanswered. He stated that tougher sanctions should be imposed against Russia, and Ukraine should immediately receive advanced air defense systems.
“Delay only fuels aggression,” he concluded.
As a reminder, as a result of a massive attack by missiles and drones of the Russian military on Ukrainian cities, more than 44 people were injured and four citizens were killed. On the night of September 7, Russia launched 805 suicide drones and 13 missiles of the Iskander-M/KN-23 and Iskander-K types.
