Trump Tweets 'No Trade War With China' as Beijing Braces for Economic Showdown

With another mirror move, reports “Xinhua” on 4 April, Beijing has taken another step in response to wage war on the initiative of the President of the United States Donald trump.

“The state Council of China decided to impose 25 percent duty on 106 points, 14 categories of goods imported from the United States, including soybeans, automobiles and chemical products,” according to local media.

The Chinese government added that the exact date of the introduction of trade measures Beijing will depend on when U.S. authorities announced the introduction of their duty on Chinese goods.

The move comes as the office of the U.S. trade representative said in a press release on Tuesday that the United States was to impose additional duties on about 1,300 Chinese goods.

Late last month, U.S. President Donald trump has signed a Memorandum of introduction of new tariffs on imports from China, which said that he was going to make us “much stronger, much wealthier nation.”

Deputy Minister of Commerce of the people’s Republic of China Wang Shouwen, meanwhile, stressed that Beijing is not interested in a trade war with the US if Washington intends to fight this war, Beijing is ready.

“We announced the response. They are balanced… China does not want a trade war there are no winners in a trade war, but we are not afraid of this war. If someone wants to fight with us, and we’ll be there,” Wang told reporters.

China’s announcement of responsibilities is accompanied by the introduction of trump’s tweets, in which he denied rumors of a trade war between Beijing and Washington.
