The maximum amount of unemployment benefit will be 150% of the minimum wage. Since the minimum wage is 8 thousand UAH, the unemployment benefit can be 12 thousand UAH.

“This will strengthen social protection for unemployed persons, increase the gap between the minimum and maximum amounts of benefits, and ensure a fairer amount of unemployment benefits for those who received higher salaries and, accordingly, paid higher insurance premiums,” the explanatory note to the bill states.
