
The UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) has been providing support to Ukrainians affected by the war for several years.
Preliminary registration for receiving multi-purpose cash assistance in the city of Mykolaiv is currently open, according to the agency's website.

The program provides for the provision of multi-purpose cash assistance. The amount of payments is based on the size of the consumer basket and usually covers the basic needs of a family for three months. Although the exact amount may vary, in previous programs it was 3,600 UAH per month for each family member. Thus, one person could receive 10,800 UAH for a three-month period. The current amount of assistance will be notified during registration at the office.
Who can receive financial assistance?

Financial support from UNHCR is provided to households that have not previously received cash assistance from international organizations and have a monthly income not exceeding UAH 5,400 per person.
Families belonging to one of the following categories can apply:
- Internally displaced persons (IDPs) who left their homes after February 24, 2022.
- Residents of the Mykolaiv region who suffered from military actions.
- People who have returned to their places of permanent residence after forced displacement.
In addition to belonging to one of these categories, a household must meet at least one of the vulnerability criteria:

- a family where there is only one parent with children under 18 years of age or with elderly people (over 55 years of age);
- a family headed by one or more single elderly people (over 55 years old) or an elderly person with a child under 18 years old;
- a family with one or more persons with special needs (disability, chronic diseases);
- foster families caring for unaccompanied children and children separated from their parents.

Track your number in the queue. After processing the questionnaire, the number should appear in a special table. For a quick search on your computer, press Ctrl+F and enter your last name or phone number.
Come to the office at the specified time, bringing all the necessary documents with you.

- To register for assistance, each family member will need the originals of the following documents: Tax Identification Number (RNOKPP) – for all household members.
- Passport or other identification document.
- IDP certificate (if available).
- Bank card number (IBAN) – for crediting payments (the card must belong to the main applicant).
- Birth certificate of children (if there are children in the family).
- Documents confirming the person's status (medical certificates of disability or chronic illness, certificate of guardianship, etc.).
