The State Statistics Service recently noted a slight drop in prices in Ukraine in July — by 0.2% compared to June. The price decrease was recorded for the first time since the beginning of the year. It was due to a certain drop in product prices.

But the statistics on the debt of Ukrainians for communal services are not so optimistic. As reported by “Censor.net”, in the second quarter the debt for housing and communal services increased to 106.6 billion UAH. And this is without taking into account the debt in the temporarily occupied territories. These statistics were published for the first time since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
It is noted that since 2022, the debt has increased by UAH 25.6 billion, which is +31.6%.
The largest debt of the population was for heat and hot water (35.2 billion UAH), as well as for gas (32.3 billion UAH).

This is followed by electricity (17.1 billion UAH), cold water (10.2 billion UAH), apartment building management (8.8 billion UAH), and garbage collection (3.1 billion UAH).
It was previously reported that the National Electricity Regulatory Commission of Ukraine (NERC) plans to increase distribution tariffs for a number of operator companies from the first days of autumn. The tariffs may increase the most for Rivneoblenergo, Kirovohradoblenergo and Khmelnytskyiblenergo, and the least for Chernihivboblenergo, Cherkasioblenergo and Lvivoblenergo.
