On Thursday, October 9, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a law on payments to military personnel released from captivity who have illnesses and require long-term inpatient treatment.
VIDEO OF THE DAY
The point is that the authorities guarantee the preservation of financial support for military personnel who, after being released from captivity, cannot continue their service due to complex illnesses and require long-term inpatient treatment.
An additional monthly remuneration of UAH 50,000 is established for such servicemen.
The payment is valid for the entire period of continuous treatment (including movement between hospitals).
ADVERTISING
It will be carried out until further suitability for military service or discharge from it is determined.
In case of suspicion of crimes against national security or war crimes, payments are suspended, and upon conviction, they are canceled.
A certificate of the circumstances of the injury or illness is issued within 5 days.
ADVERTISING
The law shall enter into force on the day following the day of its publication.
Previously, financial assistance was provided only to those soldiers who suffered wounds, contusions, or injuries in captivity.
We also talked about which military personnel are entitled to disability benefits, what their amount is, and how to apply for them.
