While Ukraine wants to change the rules for paying for natural gas delivery, some Ukrainians will be able to save on utility services. In particular, we are talking about the electricity tariff.

Thus, according to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 632, if electricity is used by consumers for heating, then its tariff is reduced during the heating season. This rule will be in effect from October 1 to April 30, however, with an important clarification.
So, if you use electricity for heating using appropriate equipment, then instead of UAH 4.32 per kWh, you will be able to pay UAH 2.64 from October 1 to April 30. However, this rule applies only to the first 2,000 kWh, the rest will have to be paid at the regular price of UAH 4.32.
Thus, if you spend an estimated 4,000 kWh during the winter, it will cost you 13,920 hryvnias according to the formula:
(2000×2.64=5280) + (2000×4.32=8640) = 13,920 hryvnias.

At the same time, if you paid UAH 4.32 for all 4,000 kWh, you would have to pay UAH 17,280, which means that the savings would be UAH 3,360 during the heating season.
But even despite such grace periods, the population's debt for utility services is constantly growing in Ukraine, according to the State Statistics Service, it is UAH 106.6 billion, and the enforcement service has opened 788 thousand debt collection proceedings.
