The people’s liberation army air force aircraft modified for the J-10 for thrust vector control (UHT) ability, drive part of the service, to make the aircraft more lethal.
A recent picture in a magazine of defense of China showed that the J-10 with the number of updates that have not been seen before, including a new engine with “sawtooth” edges, which makes the motor less visible to enemy radars in the air. Engine specialists say that the radar signals reflect from straight lines, but that the patterns of the sawtooth it is possible to extinguish the radar return.
American production of the F-35 and Russian su-30/35 Flanker series of aircraft have similar engine edges to improve their low observability characteristics, business Insider notes.
TVC aspect of the engine increases, the angular velocity of the aircraft during the flight, slightly moving the engine itself, so as to manipulate the thrust created by the engine.
The new development will allow the J-10 to make more accurate maneuvers in the air, giving the pilots more control over the height change. US F-22 Raptor and the su-30/35 family of aircraft to use the TVC as well as, defense news said.
Beijing reportedly was interested in research and development of a TVC for quite some time, but have not mastered TVC while Andreas Ruprecht, Chinese military aviation expert, said this week.
