Liverpool's Mohamed Salah has won the Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) Player of the Year award for the third time in his career, while Arsenal's Marion Caldentey won the women's award.
The Egyptian forward, 33, scored 29 goals and provided 18 assists as he played a key role in the Reds' Premier League title win under Arne Slot.
Salah's brilliant performances in the 2024/25 season not only earned him the PFA vote but also saw him become the first player to win the prestigious award three times.
The award complements a third similar title from the Football Writers' Association he received earlier this year.
“When I think about how a guy from Egypt rose to the top of world football and is now making history, it makes me incredibly proud,” Salah shared his emotions at the ceremony in Manchester.
Asked about strengthening Liverpool's squad after an active transfer period and the heavy loss of Diogo Jota, Salah gave a reserved assessment of the team's prospects.
“There's no clear answer,” he said, smiling. “We've acquired talented newcomers, but we've lost important players. And everyone remembers what happened to our comrade.”
“The new players have no experience of playing for our club, and the pressure here is enormous due to the attention of the press and fans. Our task is to help them adapt,” the team leader explained.
“Virgil, I and the other veterans are doing everything we can to pass on knowledge and support them,” Salah added.
Caldentey, 29, who joined the Gunners last summer, has scored 19 goals in all competitions, including eight in the club's Champions League triumph over former club Barcelona in the final.
The Spanish footballer's success is linked to a rethinking of her position on the field: initially signed as a winger, she has shone in the role of central midfielder.
“The club helped me at every stage of adaptation. I feel like part of a big family,” Kaldentey admitted during the award ceremony.
“It's hard for me to define my exact position. The main thing is to be useful to the team. My colleagues have created ideal conditions for my implementation,” she noted.
Arsenal's world record signing Olivia Smith has been named PFA Young Player of the Year following her impressive season at Liverpool.
Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers won the men's equivalent award after a breakthrough season that culminated in his England debut.
Salah's Liverpool team-mates Virgil van Dijk, Ryan Gravenberg and Alexis McAllister were included in the PFA Premier League's symbolic team.
Other nominees included defender Milos Kerkez, who joined from Bournemouth, and Arsenal trio Saliba, Magalhaes and Rice.
Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Mats Sels and forward Chris Wood were included for their outstanding performances, as was Alexander Isak, whose performances helped Newcastle to impressive results.
Chelsea captain Cole Palmer and Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes were not included in the starting line-up despite being nominated in the main category.
The Women's Team of the Year included Chelsea's Erin Cuthbert and Millie Bright, as well as a group of leaders from Arsenal and Manchester City.
Manchester City's James Trafford has become the first goalkeeper to win the Championship Player of the Year award after his outstanding performances for Burnley.
Wycombe striker Richard Cone, who scored 21 goals in his debut season as a professional, was named League One Player of the Year before joining QPR.
Michael Chick's 25 goals for Bromley in his debut season in the English Football League earned him the League Two Player of the Year award and helped the club win promotion to the next division.
