“When you have a feeling, you have a feeling. There's a lot of bad stuff going on in the background,” Hamilton told Sky Sports F1's Rachel Brooks of his comments on Saturday.
However, the 40-year-old driver insists he has not lost his passion for racing.
Red Bull's Max Verstappen beat Ferrari's Lewis Hamilton to finish 11th at the Hungarian Grand Prix.
In a written press release, Hamilton was asked whether he would confirm his attendance at the Dutch Grand Prix when Formula 1 resumes racing after the summer break from August 29 to 31.
“I'm looking forward to getting back. Hopefully I'll be there,” Hamilton replied.
Vasseur: Hamilton upset but not demotivated
After a tough qualifying session at the Hungarian Grand Prix, Martin Brundle and Jamie Chadwick discuss whether Lewis Hamilton can recover at Ferrari.
Ferrari team principal Fred Vasseur also defended Hamilton after another difficult weekend, and noted that the Briton's high demands on himself are the reason for his self-criticism.
“I don't need to motivate him. He's upset, but he's not demotivated, you know, it's a completely different story,” Vasseur said after the race.
