Bayern Munich are entertaining the possibility of pursuing RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner. With uncertainty looming over Lewandowski’s future, the Bundesliga champions are preparing for life without the Poland international and have identified Werner as the ideal candidate to lead the line. Interestingly, Werner revealed this week that he needs to leave Leipzig if he is to become a world-class player. “To become a world-class player, I’ll probably have to play in an even better team at club level,” he said. Werner previously admitted that playing in the Premier League is a dream of his and has been linked with Manchester United and Liverpool. (Die Welt)
