Manchester United will reach the knockout stages if they win, draw or avoid defeat by more than one goal against Sheriff Tiraspol at home on Thursday.

United will be confirmed as group runners-up if they lose by one goal, or if they draw and Real Sociedad win at Omonia Nicosia.
