After the first start to work with unmanned systems in 2016, the company cognitive technologies has launched its own project two years later and it is already showing positive results.

Cognitive technologies, a software company, told Sputnik on another major success that it had in the creation of an unmanned vehicle system test cars passed the 1 million km. The company added that at the moment their system shows almost 100% accuracy for the detection of objects on the road.

The company’s President Olga Uskova, however, notes that in order to provide the driver of the car is absolutely safe, many miles of testing have to be performed in a variety of weather conditions and visibility conditions. Cognitive technologies is currently working on half of his trials in driverless mode, used in 28% of the total time of the test drive.

Most tests were conducted outside Russia, as the country still do not have laws regulating the use of unmanned vehicles. Seven cars tested in the US, four in the EU and another two drove to the Chinese and Japanese roads. About 35% of the tests were conducted in poor weather conditions — in rain, snow or fog.

Cognitive technology has started working on driverless car technologies in 2014, when it announced its cooperation with the Russian car company “KAMAZ” in order to create an unmanned vehicle by 2020 on the basis of models of KAMAZ. Two years later, the company announced that it launched its own unmanned vehicle system project, called C-Pilot.
