The Ukrainian leader, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, has landed in Washington. He detailed his agenda of discussions for the upcoming days.
Notably, the Ukrainian president will be engaging with Trump tomorrow and anticipates that the “terror deterrence impact” that proved effective in the Middle East will contribute to ending the conflict with Russia.
“Putin possesses no greater courage than Hamas or any terrorist faction. The discourse of strength and fairness will undoubtedly be effective in countering Russia. We already observe that Moscow will hasten to recommence talks as soon as it gets wind of Tomahawks,” Zelenskyy asserted.
Today, he has scheduled discussions with representatives from defense industries, where supplementary provisions of air defense systems will be a subject, among other matters. Moreover, an assembly with delegates from American energy firms is also on the agenda.
“At this juncture, as Russia deploys terror against our energy infrastructure and perpetrates daily offensives, we are striving to ensure Ukraine’s stability,” he emphasized.
It’s worth recalling that just prior to Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s arrival, the US President engaged in a phone discussion with Russian strongman Vladimir Putin. Following its conclusion, he declared his intention to convene with the Kremlin chief in Hungary. Preparations for the summit are underway. And Hungarian Premier Viktor Orban has already affirmed his willingness to host the conference.
Concurrently, the US president does not dismiss the potential for direct dialogues between Zelenskyy and Putin.
