During its session on October 15, 2025, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy advised the legislative body to confirm Tetyana Vasylivna Berezhna as Deputy Prime Minister for Humanitarian Policy of Ukraine – Minister of Culture of Ukraine, as announced by Taras Melnychuk, the government’s representative in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
Representative Yaroslav Zheleznyak pointed out that with Berezhna assuming the position of Vice Prime Minister, the matter of supervising the Ministry of Education will likely be transferred from Mykhailo Fedorov. According to the representative, the voting process on Berezhna's appointment is penciled in for October 21-22.
Tetyana Berezhna, formerly the Deputy Minister of Economy, has been serving as the Acting Minister of Culture since July 28, the date of the Svyrydenko cabinet’s approval.
Tetyana Berezhna is a lawyer by training and a registered advocate. She also possesses further education and know-how in areas like politics, economics, and management, acquired through international and Ukrainian projects and educational organizations.
Starting in 2022, she held the role of Deputy Minister of Economy under Yulia Svyrydenko, where her duties included labor and employment guidelines, encompassing labor market modifications, job creation, and the incorporation of veterans into the workforce.
