Ukrainian Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal met with US President's Special Representative Keith Kellogg in Kyiv.
According to the minister, the parties discussed the issue of transferring additional Patriot air defense systems and ammunition to Ukraine. The Ukrainian side provided the American delegation with updated data on the situation on the front, as well as information about the recent Russian provocation against Poland.
“Such actions by Moscow are a test of NATO's readiness to respond, so the allies' response must be coordinated and decisive,” Shmyhal emphasized.
Separately, he informed Kellogg about the results of the last meeting in the Ramstein format and emphasized the need to further increase sanctions pressure on Russia.
The Minister thanked the United States for its consistent support for Ukraine, and also noted Kellogg's personal contribution to strengthening the partnership and advancing toward a just and lasting peace.
Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelensky jokingly compared Kellogg to the Air Force and offered citizenship. According to him, every time Kellogg comes to Kyiv, Kyiv residents can sleep well because there are no worries.
