“Then he looked me in the eye and he said,’ nothing happened, nothing in the past year, what has changed from my point of view, this” roots added.

“Look, I didn’t say I agree with what you’ve done,'” Komi said Obama. “He didn’t tell me – You made the right decision. He told me, because I know where it came from. I know you’re not a partisan hack. I know what you’re trying to do the right thing’. And it meant a lot to me.”
Said Komi in 2016 Capitol hill hearing that he was a registered Republican most of my adult life, but was no more. He said in an interview with Stephanopoulos that “I am not a political supporter of President Obama.”
But during the reign of Obama, feeling the roots have changed.
“I came to deeply respect him, and his high loyalty to the values I care a lot about,” said Komi.
Komi told Stephanopoulos that for the last 10 days in a 2016 campaign after he announced that the FBI will be looking back on the Clinton e-mail investigation in connection with letters found in former Congressman Anthony Weiner computer, it felt like the main character in the movie “the Sixth sense” where Bruce Willis played a man who does not know that he was already dead.

“I was almost in this moment of emotional [with Obama], again, I walked around like Bruce Willis in “the sixth sense”.’ And [to] the President of the United States said, ‘I still respect you for reasons I did initially, meant that much to me,” said Komi.
“I said, ‘Thank you, Mr. President. It was a nightmare … I was just trying to do the right thing.’ And he said, ‘I know. I know. And then I said, ‘I think my wife will kill me if I didn’t take this opportunity to thank you and tell you how much I miss you,” said Komi.
“And I told him that I am afraid the next four years. But in many ways, I feel a lot of pressure to stay to try to protect the institution that I head,” said he.
As Komei,“ the awkward hug” Loretta Lynch
Obama was not the first member of the administration console, Komi Republic after the announcement of Weiner. He also had an emotional moment with his boss, attorney General Loretta Lynch.
On Oct. 31, in the Closing days of the campaign, Lynch requested a few moments alone with Komei after prior appointments.
Lynch “came up to me with her head bowed and arms outstretched. And I don’t like to cuddle, but especially, there was an awkward difference in height, I think, as there is with me and most people,” said Komi, who is 6 feet 8 inches tall. “But she had pressed her face to my chest and hugged me, and then I held out my hand, as I explain in the book, and a little awkwardly hugged.”

“Then we broke up and she said, ‘I thought you needed a hug.’ And she was right. I’m sure it showed on my face, like bill, I felt,” said he.
“We sat down and she said, ‘how are you?’ Loretta Lynch is a very good person and knows me for a long time … and I told her that I felt terrible that I felt I was beat … but I don’t see that I had a choice,” Komi same. “And then she said something that stunned me. She said
‘They feel better if this will be known on November 4th?’ And my reaction was … that’s right, Loretta.’”
“And so, I don’t know, she tells me, ‘You did the right thing?’ And thus, hugs me because she feels bad, I took this incredibly cruel blow? I don’t know,” he said. “But I decided that, first of all, I feel bad for you. And even if You hadn’t made that decision, once you begin to get a warrant to search the laptop of Anthony Weiner to see hundreds of thousands of letters Hillary Clinton is likely to leak out anyway.'”
An eloquent look from Obama
When Komi met with Obama in subsequent meetings during the transition, he told Stephanopoulos, an unexpected response from outgoing President provided some levity to a tense situation.
