The Central Election Commission formally acknowledged Dmytro Slynko as a parliament member from the Servant of the People political force after Anna Kolisnyk concluded her duties prematurely.

The information is available on the CEC’s official online platform.

“The commission recognized and registered Dmytro Slynko, who was on the ballot of the Servant of the People political organization during the snap parliamentary elections on July 21, 2019 under number 151,” the institution clarified.

According to Yulia Paliychuk, spokesperson for the Servant of the People faction, in comments given to Interfax-Ukraine, Slynko previously worked as a media representative. Notably, he held positions at UA: First, Interfax-Ukraine, Economic News, Dilo, Focus, Korrespondent, and Krasiva Kraina. Furthermore, the individual authored several travel guides focusing on Ukraine.

Born in Kyiv on December 29, 1979, Slynko is a graduate of the Faculty of Economics at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, specializing in International Economics. He became affiliated with the “servants” in 2019, serving as the head of the information center and editor of the party’s publication. Post-election, he functioned as an aide to People’s Deputy Yevhenia Kravchuk.

It is worth remembering that Anna Kolisnyk, whose position is now assumed by Slynko, received an official notice of suspicion from NABU and SAPO in October 2022 concerning the inclusion of inaccurate information in her declaration. As per the inquiry, the deputy failed to declare assets exceeding 4.4 million hryvnias, including two apartments within Kyiv, a stake in a non-residential property located in Kharkiv, and an automobile.

Moreover, Kolisnyk was embroiled in a controversy back in March 2021 regarding a text message exchange during a session of the Verkhovna Rada, in which she expressed the desire to “escape this country.” The deputy later clarified that she was alluding to taking a holiday abroad.
