US Senators Move to Regulate Facebook in Wake of Zuckerberg Testimony

Washington (Sputnik) – the new legislation will facilitate government regulation of social media in light of Facebook’s failure to adequately protect User information, senators John Kennedy and Amy Klobuchar said in a press release.

On Wednesday during parliamentary hearings on the protection of consumer data, Kennedy warned the CEO of Facebook mark Zuckerberg that the Congress may be forced to regulate social media giant. While working for major political campaigns, the firm gathered information to develop a mechanism that could predict and influence the behavior of voters in the United States.
