Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is directing the removal of approximately 5,000 American soldiers from Germany, the Department of Defense revealed Friday.
The extraction of these military personnel should finalize within the upcoming half year to year.
"This determination results from an exhaustive examination of the Department’s military presence in Europe and acknowledges regional demands and circumstances present locally," Head Pentagon Representative Sean Parnell conveyed in an announcement.
Germany hosts 38,000 U.S. soldiers.
