This week, Uber presented innovative travel capabilities, aiming to broaden its reach through a fresh alliance designed to offer users an easy-to-use system for reserving lodging and more.
During Uber's sixth yearly worldwide GO-GET product demonstration on Wednesday, the company revealed that the app will shortly incorporate new functionalities extending beyond transportation and meal services, incorporating travel arrangements and other offerings into one application.

Reserving accommodations on Uber
The new "hotels" symbol on the Uber main screen empowers U.S. users to explore, examine, and secure bookings at over 700,000 lodging options globally, enabled through Uber's recent alliance with Expedia Group.
Once a user inputs their desired location, they have the option to browse hotels on a map or through a list, and further refine their search by using filters such as guest feedback, price range, services, hotel rating, brand affiliation, and more.

The initial cost displayed encompasses all relevant taxes, charges, and valid reductions, and individuals can view the number of Uber Credits they are eligible to earn with each booking.
These credits will then be added to the user's account within a day of checking in, ready for use as they explore their destination.
Similarly to arranging a ride, users will verify their booking with their stored payment information and receive a confirmation email to the email address linked to their account. If a user is booking on behalf of someone else, they can simply enter the recipient's email so they may get their confirmation directly.
After securing a hotel, Uber will issue a reminder in a confirmation email to set up rides using Uber Reserve. There will also be a complete breakdown of costs, cancellation guidelines, and any Uber One credits accumulated.

Later in the year, Uber will also integrate vacation rental listings from Vrbo, according to the company.
Uber One subscribers can unlock savings of at least 20% on thousands of hotels, and can earn 10% back in Uber credits on every booking.
Moreover, starting June 1, Uber One subscribers will obtain worldwide benefits to acquire credits on rides, have waived delivery charges internationally, and return home with rewards at their disposal.
Uber One can be accessed in 47 nations, including the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Spain, Germany, Japan, and Australia.
Travel Mode for Uber and Uber Eats for the Way
The in-app functionality is also being enhanced for both Uber and Uber Eats when users are traveling away from their home city.
