Francesca McGhee's last-gasp attempt to snatch Scotland victory over Ireland

Francesca McGee's final try secured Scotland their second Women's Six Nations victory as they beat Ireland 26-19 at the Hive Stadium.

Amy-Leigh Costigan gave Ireland the lead with a run down the left and a shot into the corner, with Danna O'Brien converting from a tight angle.

The hosts opened the scoring when Lana Skeldon broke free from pressure and went to ground, and they took the lead shortly before half-time when Emma Orr squeezed through the defence and dived over the line, with Helen Nelson adding the extra points.

Ireland responded with a goal early in the second half, showing some excellent play around the edge of the box where Linda Jugang's try was upheld after an appeal to the TMO, and Scotland's game changed when Rhona Lloyd was sent off for heading Costigan before the try.

Despite being short-handed, Rachel McLachlan made a run into the home side's right corner and Nelson converted, but the midfielder was soon shown a yellow card with just over 10 minutes remaining in the game.

Emily Lane fired a powerful shot into the Ireland goal and O'Brien equalised, but a quick switch to the left allowed McGee to break clear in the 80th minute and Nelson added from a tight angle.
