Prince Harry's relationship with Britain's King Charles remains “estranged” and his letters and calls to his father go unanswered, sources say.
Harry is also unaware of Charles' current health status, having only learned of his recent hospitalization for side effects from cancer treatment through the media, People magazine reported.
One source told the US publication: “I don't think there are any signs of rapprochement,” while another added: “They have become more distant.”
Harry was in London last week to appeal against a High Court decision to dismiss his case against the Home Office over a decision by the Royal and Public Figures Protection Executive (Ravec) that he should be given a different level of protection while in the UK.
However, Harry did not have time to see his father before Charles left for a state visit to Italy.
People magazine reported that the distance between them had grown, with their last face-to-face meeting taking place in February 2024, when Charles announced his cancer diagnosis.
Sources close to Harry suggest his calls and letters have gone unanswered, with Charles reportedly keeping his distance to avoid discussions surrounding security issues.
