In particular, you can initiate a pension recalculation if you have new documents confirming additional work experience or income levels that were not taken into account during the initial calculation.
In addition, the pension may be revised as a result of the introduction of new legislative supplements or allowances, such as benefits for military personnel, persons with honorary titles or state awards.

But there are three main reasons for the recalculation.
Increase in insurance experience
Pensioners who work after retirement can accumulate additional insurance experience. This gives the right to submit a request for pension recalculation. If the required experience has already been accumulated, an application for pension revision is possible without waiting for the mandatory two-year period. Thus, the employee is able to increase the amount of the payment immediately after confirming the new experience.

Salary increase
Citizens who continue to work after retirement and receive a salary increase may apply to the Pension Fund with a request for a recalculation of payments. This procedure is available once every two years, provided that the income level has increased compared to that taken into account during the first calculation. The application is submitted to the Pension Fund in writing. After that, a new calculation is made, and if there are grounds, the amount of the payment will be increased.
Change in the subsistence minimum level
For those pensioners who are no longer working, the amount of pension payments is automatically recalculated when the subsistence minimum increases, which affects basic social standards.

Procedure for submitting an application for pension recalculation
To initiate the recalculation, you need to contact any branch of the Pension Fund of Ukraine or use the PFU electronic services web portal.
It is important that when contacting the Pension Fund, a citizen does not need to explain the reason for the application: Pension Fund employees independently analyze all available options and carry out the recalculation in accordance with current legislation.
