Starting December 1, the monthly supplement for disabled family members of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred — Ukrainians who died during the Revolution of Dignity — will be increased.

As reported by the Ministry of Social Policy, the monthly supplement to the pension in case of loss of the breadwinner will be 12,971 hryvnia. If there are two or more disabled members in the family, this amount will be divided equally between them. The previous amount of the benefit was established back in 2014 and was 5,000 hryvnia, 6,500 hryvnia or 8,000 hryvnia – depending on the number of recipients.
“From now on, payments will be accrued not only to the pension in case of loss of a breadwinner, but also to the old-age or disability pension, if it is assigned under the Law of Ukraine “On Compulsory State Pension Insurance,” the ministry noted, adding that currently 92 family members of 76 Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred receive pensions in connection with the loss of a breadwinner.
Recall that earlier the government approved compensation payments to the families of soldiers who died in Russian captivity. Relatives will receive UAH 15 million each, as will the families of servicemen who died on the battlefield.
