“Multi-purpose cash assistance (MPCA) is a Caritas Ukraine program aimed at supporting vulnerable categories of the population affected by the war. The initiative provides people with financial independence, allows them to independently determine recovery priorities, and also contributes to the development of the local economy,” the publication quotes the philanthropists as saying.
How much money can you receive from Caritas Ukraine?
Cash grants under the program are provided without reporting requirements or restrictions on the use of funds. The main conditions for participation are: the presence of local markets, the possibility of cashless payments or cash withdrawals.

MRSA parameters:
- the amount of payment is UAH 3,600 per person per month;
- duration of assistance — 3 months, total 10,800 UAH per person;
- maximum assistance per household (up to 4 people) — UAH 43,200;
- payment is made through a bank account or Ukrposhta;
- Funds arrive within 2 days of registration in emergency cases or 1-2 weeks in normal cases.
There is also a SMPCA (stabilization multi-purpose grant) format, focused on long-term support for victims. It provides for payments over 6 months — UAH 3,600 per month or two payments of UAH 10,800.
Who does Caritas Ukraine help?

The program is aimed at the following categories of citizens:
- internally displaced persons;
- residents of frontline or affected regions;
- people who have returned to their homes after evacuation or from abroad;
- victims of disasters or hostilities;
- people who move from one place to another.
Within each group, preference is given to low-income and socially vulnerable families who are unable to cover their basic needs.
Geography of the Caritas Ukraine program
Since 2015, assistance from this humanitarian organization has been provided in most regions of Ukraine.
