Despite the fact that the Cabinet of Ministers' resolution, which provides for a fixed price for electricity of UAH 4.32 per kW, expires after October 31, the government is not planning to increase tariffs for the time being. UNIAN writes about this.
VIDEO OF THE DAY
Currently, household consumers have to pay 4.32 hryvnias for each kilowatt-hour. Therefore, everything will be more or less predictable when it comes to electricity — the more electricity a consumer uses, the more it will cost them. And this is a pleasant “surprise.” Moreover, there are several ways to save on electricity bills.
In particular, using a night tariff. As you know, two-zone and three-zone meters are used for this service. When used at certain hours, the price of electricity will be much lower.
With a two-zone meter, electricity at night (after 23:00 and until 7:00) will cost half as much — 2.16 hryvnias. With a three-zone meter, electricity during this period will cost 1.73 hryvnias. At the usual rate, you will have to pay for electricity used from 7 to 8 am, from 11 to 20 pm, and from 22 to 23. At the same time, it is important to remember that during peak hours (8−11 am and 20−22 pm), electricity will cost 6.48 hryvnias per kilowatt-hour.

Also, the amount of payments can be affected by the benefits to which certain categories of people are entitled. For example, persons with disabilities, combatants, pensioners living in villages, and more. Discounts on electricity can range from 25 to 100%. Thus, large families with three or more children can reduce their electricity costs by half if the average monthly income per person is less than 4,240 UAH.
It should be noted that the Ministry of Energy said that the government is not going to raise electricity tariffs for the population yet. They noted that the difficult economic situation and the war necessitate continuing to support the population in order to avoid a sharp increase in the financial burden on consumers.
At the same time, some media outlets wrote that in the next three years, electricity prices will increase by approximately 15% every 12 months.

In this case, its cost will be:
- 4.75−5.18 hryvnias — next year;
- 5.22−6.2 hryvnias — in 2027;
- 5.7−7.44 hryvnias in 2028.
However, these are only predictions without official confirmation, so for now it is worth focusing on current tariffs.
Previously, “FACTS” wrote that Ukrainians can save on electricity bills if they use it to heat a room.
