In the context of Russia's attempts to cause an energy collapse in Ukraine, NJSC Ukrenergo decided to raise the tariff for its electricity delivery services from January 1, 2026. This is an increase in the cost of the service by 24% – from UAH 686.23 to UAH 848.52 per 1 MWh.
VIDEO OF THE DAY
NJSC Ukrenergo posted a draft of the new tariff on its website, explaining this by the decline in the forecasted volumes of electricity transmission in 2025. Thus, the decrease in volumes was 4% of the previously planned ones.
As a result, Ukrenergo proposed to increase the tariff for the transmission of 1 MW/h of electricity:
by UAH 162.23 — up to UAH 848.52 for users of electricity networks, except for “green” metallurgy enterprises;
ADVERTISING
by UAH 107.58 — up to UAH 467.13 per 1 MWh for “green” metallurgy enterprises;
The tariff for dispatching (operational and technological) management services will increase by UAH 42.29 to UAH 141.26 per 1 MWh.
In other words, even if the National Commission for Energy and Utilities Regulation approves the tariff proposed by Ukrenergo, the cost of electricity for the population will not increase. As now, Ukrainians will pay UAH 4.32 per 1 kWh until the NKRKEU decides to increase it.
