The German automotive manufacturer, BMW, is recalling over 196,000 vehicles in the U.S. due to potential corrosion in the engine activation relay.
As reported by Delo.ua, Reuters announced this information, citing the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
It’s highlighted that this flaw might lead to overheating and electrical shorts, which, subsequently, heightens the possibility of a car fire.
As per the US automotive safety agency, the issue impacts an array of models, including the Toyota Supra (engineered on a mutual platform with BMW) and the 2022 BMW 230i.
NHTSA stated that BMW dealerships will substitute the engine starter without any cost.
In recent times, NHTSA declared a recall of 101,944 Ford Taurus cars in America owing to a conceivable fault in the door’s interior trim.
Hyundai also made public a recall of 568,580 Palisade automobiles in the United States following the finding of imperfections in the seat belt mechanism.
