There is no return to the IT employee market from the time of the pandemic, artificial intelligence is already taking jobs from programmers, especially beginners – notes Friday's “Rzeczpospolita”.
The daily notes that although some Western technology companies do not hide the fact that the next series of large employment cuts are related to the implementation of AI, in Poland most IT specialists are not yet afraid of competition from artificial intelligence.
According to a survey by the employment agency ManpowerGroup cited by the newspaper, “only 23 percent of such employees spoke about the risk of being replaced by AI and new technologies. They were more likely to fear cheaper competition from abroad. And most of them see AI as a significant support at work.”

According to “Rzeczpospolita”, these opinions may soon change radically and notes that “recruitment statistics already indicate that in Poland, artificial intelligence has begun to negatively impact the labor market in IT services, including the core of this market – programmers.”
“Despite the improving economic situation in the IT industry and rising company revenues, this is not reflected in the growing number of job offers for specialists. This is largely due to a drastic decline in demand for entry-level juniors, who until recently supported experienced specialists (mid-level and senior). Today, their role is being taken over by artificial intelligence,” we read. (PAP)
