Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk still has 'no idea' whether he will remain with the team beyond this season.
The Netherlands international is one of three high-profile players (along with Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold) whose current contracts expire in June.
Negotiations have been ongoing for some time now and the 33-year-old defender wants to extend his deal, but there has been no significant progress towards signing a new contract.
“At the moment I have no idea. To be honest,” the centre-back said after Liverpool were knocked out of the Champions League by Paris Saint-Germain on penalties.
“I can't even imagine what will happen next year. If anyone says they know, they are lying to you straight up.
“Everyone is aware that there are some discussions going on behind the scenes, but that's all there is.”
With Liverpool 15 points clear at the top of the Premier League, heading into the League Cup final on Sunday and in the Champions League until Tuesday, Van Dijk was asked if talks had been put on hold to focus on trophies.
“It's not stopped. Nothing's stopped,” he added.
“Look, there's 10 games left and that's all I'm focused on. If there's news, you guys will hear about it. I don't even know myself.”
