Soccer Saturday Super 6: Jackpot won thanks to late Sheffield Wednesday winner

It was a Saturday afternoon to remember for one lucky person as she won the Super 6 jackpot prize of £1m.

The £1million Soccer Saturday Super 6 jackpot has been won by 59-year-old Jacqueline Packham thanks to an injury-time Sheffield Wednesday winner.

Atdhe Nuhiu secured a 2-1 victory for Wednesday at Yorkshire rivals Leeds with his goal in the first minute of injury-time at Elland Road.

That meant three points for the Owls and one million reasons for Jacqueline from Hailsham in East Sussex to celebrate!

Bournemouth also netted late to defeat West Brom 2-1 when Junior Stanislas struck in the 89th minute.

In the Premier League, Crystal Palace won 2-0 at Huddersfield and Everton defeated Stoke 2-1 to help Jacqueline on the way to the top prize.

Sheffield United’s goalless encounter with Nottingham Forest and the 1-1 draw between Brentford and Middlesbrough were also part of Jacqueline’s successful selections in the free-to-play Soccer Saturday Super 6 game.

Soccer Saturday host Jeff Stelling now has to hand over his famous golden briefcase but he encouraged Jacqueline to invest some of her winnings in his favourite football club, Hartlepool United.

There is no word yet on whether Jacqueline will take his advice.
