Saturday sport: Ireland suffer 31-5 defeat to Wales in Six Nations opener

Ireland captain, Nichola Fryday, has said their own errors let them down as they lost out to Wales by 31-5 in the Women’s Six Nations game in Cardiff.

The hosts ran in four tries to clinch a bonus point win.

Fryday got the consolation try for the Irish.

In the late game in Newcastle it’s England 31-0 Scotland.

Caolin Blade was the hat-trick hero once again as Connacht eased passed Edinburgh by 41-26 in the United Rugby Championship clash at the Sportsground.
